Awards - Certification of diamonds from diamonds.

To set a price of compatible diamond, more natural, high quality diamonds are certified by a major laboratory of gemmology, as GIA, EGL or AGSL and sold with a certification or classification State so that you know exactly what you buy how it is evaluated. The report is compiled by a group of certified gemologists who have been trained to identify every detail of stone that are ranking. It is important to understand the Certification report so that you can learn all about the diamond to the very important purchase.
Laboratory
The first thing you need to identify the certification is laboratory created the report. There are a few well-known gemological laboratories which vary according to countries, such as the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), AGSL (American Gem Society laboratories) and EGL (European Gemological Laboratory). If the certification report was compiled somewhere else, you decide by yourself or not trusting their work.
Report number
Each report has a specific and unique to mark the diamond. This number is kept on file with the creation of the State laboratory, so that information can also be accessed. This number is also sometimes laser printed on the diamond itself, and this will be checked on the report as "Laser Inscription registry".
Shape, measurements, Proportions, and Cs 4
The report lists the ranks of each of the 4 diamond c.: he cut grade, color, clarity, and the shape of the diamond. The diamond measures will be listed on the report, such as its length and width, as well as its proportions, listed as a percentage of one of the main measures.
Finishing
Diamond Polish and symmetry grades will be included in the report. The rank of Polish reflects the quality of the structuring of the facets, and the symmetry grade tells how well certain elements of the ideal diamond to the standards of the proportion line.
Image
A real drawing of the diamond will be usually printed on the report with the identification of gaps in the stone marked. Any special characteristics, and the specific measures and ratios, the diamond will be marked on the drawing. If you buy from a reputable jeweler, they allow you to use one of their magnifiers (a magnifying glass used in the diamond industry) and even point out defects called out in the report.
Belt and DOP
Diamond belt is the region in the upper part of the stone, but above the lower part of the stone. Belt size plays a major role in the appearance of the stone, this is why it is listed in the report. If a diamond is present on the diamond, it will be noted in the report. Diamond is an aspect which is sometimes cut in the bottom area of the stone where the point is or would be.
Comments, key and securities
The diamond report also lists additional comments of the laboratory that are not included in the regular report. The key helps to define the symbols used in the report. Finally, there are several security features that help to prevent the creation of a false report. These security features can include a hologram and a UPC code. These functions will almost always be present if your certification has been prepared in one of the main laboratories mentioned above.
Print this and take it with you when you look at the diamonds, so that you can be well prepared to discuss with your jeweller certification and be satisfied with the price of diamond.
